Tempe, AZ, March 14, 2009 -- RC Cabinets, a Tempe-based cabinet supplier for home builders and remodel contractors was honored to work with the “Room for Joy” organization in creating a fantasy room for Trevor Bird, a 4-year old boy struggling with a terminal disease. Room for Joy is an organization dedicated to creating “dream” bedrooms for seriously ill children. The organization creates bedrooms based on each child’s imagination and unique interests using wall murals, custom furniture and creative accessories to change bedrooms into rooms for joy. When designing and building the furniture, time is dedicated to concealing medical equipment to provide a room that becomes a work of art replacing the sterile look of a hospital room. RC Cabinets was thrilled to participate in this worthwhile endeavor of creating a Disney Cars theme room for Trevor. A wall bed was installed that when retracted appears as a garage shelving unit providing Trevor with much more room to play during the day. In the evening when the wall bed is lowered into place, it becomes a cozy and comfortable place to sleep.
